Karna's love
Karna was the eldest son Kunti. His father was Sun god. He was abandoned by his mother soon after his birth. He was found by a charioteer and was raised by that charioteer and his wife.
Karna was a well known warrior who was also known for generosity. After becoming the king of Angad, he loved a princess named Asawari. She too fell in love with him.
Initially she thought that Karna was a prince. Later on, she learnt that he was the son of a charioteer. So she broke up her love with Karna and decided to marry a prince.
Princess Asawari's father arranged for a swayamvar and invited the princes of various kingdoms to attend the swayamvar. But he didn't invite Karna.
The Sun god adviced his son Karna to attend the swayamvar and move on in his life. After meeting his father, Karna went to the swayamvar but was insulted by Asawari's father.
He challenged the princes those who attended the swayamvar for a war. He made them immovable and finally attacked Asawari's father. Accepting his defeat, Asawari's father agreed to give his daughter's hand in marriage to Karna.
When Asawari tried to put garland on Karna's neck, he stopped her and asked whether she was happy to marry Karna. She replied that she would marry any person who was suggested by her father.
Karna was shocked and told that she had not loved him truly. He rejected Asawari and asked her maid Padmavathi whether she would marry him. Padmavathi accepted the proposal of Karna and garlanded him.
Karna found the true love in Padmavathi who was a daughter of a charioteer. Padmavathi became the love of his life.
