               Brahma insisted his sons to get married. Only through materialistic reality one can experience Maya. So he wanted to get his sons married.                 Narada, one of the sons of Brahma was not interested in marriage. He hated materialistic reality. So he went to Sreeman Narayana and questioned about Maya. He thought that if the lord explains, he would be able to understand Maya.              Sreeman Narayana, instead of answering Narada, told Narada to fetch water to quench his thirst. He also added that after drinking water, he would explain what Maya was. Narada agreed and went to the river.             While fetching water in the river, Narada saw a beautiful girl.          Once there lived a demon called Panchajanya. Often he tortured Devas and maharishis and made them scream.          Once Panchajanya stole vedas from Manu and vanished off. Devas were not able to find him. He went deep into the sea and hid the Vedas at the bottom of the sea.          Devas were not able to find where Vedas were kept. So they surrendered themselves to Sreeman Narayana and prayed for his help. The lord appeared before them and told that he would get back the Vedas safely.           At that time, pralaya claimed the earth. Sreeman Narayana took the form of a fish and fought with the demons and defeated them and finally killed the demon Panchajanya.           The lord rescued the Vedas and handed it over to Manu.            Pandu's second son Bhim Sen married demoness Hidimbi in the forest. Hidimbi gave birth to Gatotkach. Before marriage, Hidimbi took a vow that she would not enter the royal family and she would reside in the forest for ever. She grew her son Gatotkach alone.            Mauravi was the daughter of Mura, a demon. Mura was the chief commander of Narakasura's army. He was killed by lord Krishna in the battle that took place between Narakasura and lord Krishna in Pragjyotishpur (Narakasura's capital). Those who came to marry her were not able to defeat her in both brawn and brain. He was named Barbarik because of the nature of his hair.              At his early age, Barbarik learnt the art of archery from his grandmother Hidimbi. Lord Krishna decided to test who is more generous, Duryodhana or Karna.              It was a rainy season. Lord Krishna disguised himself as an old man. At first, he went to Duryodhan's palace.             Sage Kashyap had two wives named Vinata and Kathru. The eldest one was Vinata and the youngest one was Kathru. They both became pregnant with the grace of sage Kashyap.            Vinata bore two ova (eggs in uterus) and Kathru bore one hundred and five ova. The time came and the younger one Kathru gave birth to serpents.       AdiSesha, Vasuki and one hundred and two more male serpents were born to Kathru. Along with Lakshmi arose Alakshmi in the form of  aalahaal poison.         Alakshmi is the elder sister of Lakshmi. She is the goddess of conflicts. If Lakshmi is the grain, then Alakshmi is the bran. If Lakshmi is the juicy pulp of a fruit, then Alakshmi is the seed which can't be eaten.    Whenever Lakshmi enters a house, Alakshmi accompanies her into that house in the form of quarrels. The two always comes together.               Everyone accepts Lakshmi and desires for gifts that accompany her but no one accepts Alakshmi but simply rejects her.               Lakshmi is love, affection and Alakshmi is conflict.
