                  Karna was the eldest son of queen Kunti. In Kunti's childhood, Sage Dhurvas taught a spell to Kunti which would give a son on telling it. He advised Kunti not to put the spell into test. Being a small and curious girl, Kunti prayed to Sun god and recited the spell.                                  As soon as she recited the spell, Sun god appeared before her and blessed her with a son.               The ocean of milk was churned by Devas and Asuras. Meru was taken as the churning staff and the serpent Vasuki was used as the churning rope.                Devas tried to carry the mountain Meru but it was too heavy even for all of them put together. Also they were not able to drag out the king of serpents, Vasuki. So, Devas sought the help of lord Vishnu. Lord decided to help them and sent his hawk, the mighty Garuda to carry Meru and Vasuki.            Once Garuda had completed his task, Devas found that the mountain had started sinking inside the ocean of milk. He was found by a charioteer and was raised by that charioteer and his wife.                Karna was a well known warrior who was also known for generosity. Story of Jaya & Vijaya

                Jaya and Vijaya were gate keepers of Vaikuntha, the abode of Lord Vishnu. Once, four sons of Brahma called Sanat-Kumars tried to enter Vaikuntha.              While entering Vaikuntha, they were stopped by Jaya and Vijaya as the lord was asleep at that time. Annoyed by the act of Jaya and Vijaya, Sanat-Kumars cursed them to be born as Asuras away from the lord Vishnu.              The curse took immediate effect and Jaya and Vijaya entered the womb of Diti. They emerged into the materialistic world as Asura brothers named Hiranyaksha and Hiranyakashipu.              Both Hiranyaksha and Hiranyakashipu were best examples for reverse devotion. Since they were not interested to leave lord's abode, they performed vile deeds that would force lord Vishnu to descend from Vaikuntha and liberate them.          ...

               Brahma insisted his sons to get married. Only through materialistic reality one can experience Maya. So he wanted to get his sons married.                 Narada, one of the sons of Brahma was not interested in marriage. He hated materialistic reality. So he went to Sreeman Narayana and questioned about Maya. He thought that if the lord explains, he would be able to understand Maya.              Sreeman Narayana, instead of answering Narada, told Narada to fetch water to quench his thirst. He also added that after drinking water, he would explain what Maya was. Narada agreed and went to the river.             While fetching water in the river, Narada saw a beautiful girl.          Once there lived a demon called Panchajanya. Often he tortured Devas and maharishis and made them scream.          Once Panchajanya stole vedas from Manu and vanished off. Devas were not able to find him. He went deep into the sea and hid the Vedas at the bottom of the sea.          Devas were not able to find where Vedas were kept. So they surrendered themselves to Sreeman Narayana and prayed for his help. The lord appeared before them and told that he would get back the Vedas safely.           At that time, pralaya claimed the earth. Sreeman Narayana took the form of a fish and fought with the demons and defeated them and finally killed the demon Panchajanya.           The lord rescued the Vedas and handed it over to Manu. He then turned Panchajanya into conch shell 🐚. Whenever the lord blew it, every one heard the secret of Vedas in that yug or era. ...

Marriage of Ghatotkach and Mauravi.

           Pandu's second son Bhim Sen married demoness Hidimbi in the forest. Hidimbi gave birth to Gatotkach. Before marriage, Hidimbi took a vow that she would not enter the royal family and she would reside in the forest for ever. She grew her son Gatotkach alone.            Mauravi was the daughter of Mura, a demon. Mura was the chief commander of Narakasura's army. He was killed by lord Krishna in the battle that took place between Narakasura and lord Krishna in Pragjyotishpur (Narakasura's capital). Hence Krishna was also called as Murahari.         Mauravi was very strong both physically and mentally. Also, she was an egoistic lady. Those who came to marry her were not able to defeat her in both brawn and brain.
